I grew up on a farm in southeastern North Dakota with my twin sister and younger sister. Music soon became a passion for me, which sent me on my life’s path. I received a B.S. degree in music education, with a major in alto saxophone. My sax felt like an appendage of my body as I played it so much. But singing and piano was how the Lord used me most after I met Him my sophomore year in college. After college I traveled full-time with a Christian girl band for 7 years. What a great experience as this ministry took us all over the U.S. and Europe. Following those years, I was worship leader at Living Word Christian Center in Brooklyn Park for 7 years, Harbor Church in Hastings for 2 years, and 2 years at Grace Church Roseville.

My husband, Curt, and I started a non-profit called World Encounter. We trained and led short-term mission teams to India, Argentina, Africa, and Mexico. Today, World Encounter gives micro loans to women in Tanzania to start small businesses and work their way out of poverty.

I’ve also worked full-time as an administrative assistant at Boston Scientific for the past 7 years. In my free-time, I love to read and spend time with my sisters and golf with friends.

I find fulfillment being used by God in music and whatever other ways He sees fit. It’s a privilege to now be on the Hope Grove Church board.
